We represent a client who was formerly the in-house general counsel of a large company in the Los Angeles area. We need an expert -- or potentially two separate experts -- who can offer opinions on two subjects: 1) An in-house lawyer's regular salary does NOT count as the "reasonable value of services" owed to the in-house lawyer under a quantum meruit claim for work performed on a complex lawsuit for which he was orally promised a contingency fee 2) What should be that commensurate hourly rate for that in-house general counsel in the Los Angeles area back in around 2010 ? 2014?
