Client needs some advice regarding equity earned through services in a profitable domestic business that is changing from an LLC and S Corp to one C Corp to accommodate the additional equity. After taking into consideration the tax implications to the new owner (my client) whether taking the equity in stock grants as opposed to stock options is a better tax option for him and the Company. The services have already been rendered so they have discussed option date grants for that period.
